      Oops... I forgot a line!

      I
      love
      him but
      he loves her
      and since she is not
me, so then he is a fool, right?

        porrage in the pot,
peas porrage in pot nine days old

        that make me wanna laugh
when they are strung toghether and read aloud.

          last
          night
          I touched
          brand new skin;
          hands cupped to welcome
shining child - star drawn down to earth.

    I am I I am I am I

    I am I I am I am I I am I I am I am I I am I am I
    I am I I am I am I I am I I am I am I I am I am I I am I I am I am I I am I I am

next line = this line followed by previous line.

It's very Fibonacci, but not so poetic.

I think this is wonderful! It has a natural poetic meter much like haiku.

Here is the basic scheme again (always add the prior two lines' syllables to get the next number):

      First line: 1 syllable
      Second line: 1 syllable (1 + 0)
      Third line: 2 syllables (1 + 1)
      Fourth line: 3 syllables (1 +2)
      Fifth Line: 5 syllables (2 + 3)
      Sixth line: 8 syllables (3 +5)

    Wow
    Cool
    Word math
    I like it
    Just one question, though:
    Why write just twenty syllables
when we could take just one more step up to thirty-three?

Or beyond? Brevity, perhaps, since a twenty-one-syllable line is a bit much

...sorry, felt compelled to answer my own question....

        As
        With
        Haiku,
        Brevity
        Is the soul of wit.
        Eight syllables? Almost too much!

Seriously, why say this is a bit more difficult than it actually is?

Brett Maynard is amazing. End of story.

                      I

                      this new
                      idea of what
                      a poet can do.
                      I understand the benefits
of writing out in syllables what silly souls say.
