Thu, May 15, 2008 - 7:48 AMa Wiktionary search gave no results for "aptodectic"...but don't let that stop you from having fun with it! people create new words every day. i suggest breaking it down and tracing the roots. the meanings of the roots will then suggest possible meanings of the word. have fun!

Not really a word, but "apto" is latin for make fit, or adapt.
And "dectic" Is a branch member of the Grasshopper family. -

Once, during my nearly ten years of Academia whilst studying in Anthropology School, we had rule about questionable words such as this. Basically, if you can write an adequate definition, and use it in a sentence, then it is a word.
