Anyone up for this?
Take some weird phrase and turn it into a possible name for a punk rock band.
My friend sent me a funny note, and had the phrase in it: "like Katherine Hepburn making angry love"
so that became the punk rock band name: Katherine Hepburn's Angry Love
I guess it could morph into a phrase off the leader's name....like "Johnny Rotten and The Katherine Hepburns"

Naming bands gets easier all the time.
My all-time favorite punk band name, 'Fist-Sized Chunks' was recently outdone by 'Touch My Rash'.
I'm saving 'Spoiled Breakfast' for when I finally get my own band. -

Since I moved away many years ago....I've heard mention of movies filmed in El Segundo, videos made in El Segundo, and a general notoriety about El Segundo. How the heck do people know about this place? ....it was just a nondescript coastal town jammed between the L.A. airport and the Standard Oil Refinery when I lived there.
My El Segundo punk rock band's name is going to be:
"Obtuse Obsession."

Years ago a colleague and I needed to come up with a working name for a plastic gadget we were developing, so we didn't have to keep saying "The four-pocket, clear-pastic foldout book holder." We named it Project El Segundo. I have no idea why. It just amused us. -

In one episode, he refers to his Ripple wine as coming from "the vineyards of El Segundo. He was also thrown off a bridge by a bigot in El Segundo". -

"Moose and Squirrel Must Die" was a punk 'zine hereabouts.
"Love and Rockets" has the best fictional punk bands : "Missles of October"; "Greg Brady Image"; "Our Wives Look Best to Us".
The name "Love and Rockets" was itself ripped off by a British band. -
